Korean media: South Korea's dependence on Japanese photoresist has fallen below 50%

  According to industry sources, as of December 2021, South Korea's dependence on 100 strategic projects exported from Japan continued to decline, of which its dependence on Japanese photoresists was less than 50%.

  According to the above-mentioned industry insiders, through this measure, South Korea's dependence on Japan's 100 strategic projects dropped from 30.9% in December 2019 to 24.9% in December 2021, a drop of 6 percentage points. During the same period, imports of hydrogen fluoride from the United States declined. $36.3 million to $12.5 million, less than 50% reliance on Japanese photoresist and close to zero reliance on Japanese fluorinated polyimide.
