Apple Watch with MicroLED screen will be launched in 2025, and the supplier is OSRAM

According to MacRumors, Apple will commercialize MicroLED screens in 2025, which will be first carried by Apple Watch Ultra, and the supplier is OSRAM.

It is reported that the size of the Apple Watch Ultra screen with MicroLED is 2.1 inches, which is larger than the current Apple Watch Ultra 1.92 inches, and MicroLED is an emerging technology.

Unlike the OLED screen and MiniLED screen currently used by Apple, MicroLED is a LED miniaturization and matrix technology.

In short, it is to thin film, miniaturize and array the LED backlight. The LED unit can be smaller than 50 microns. Like OLED, each pixel can be individually customized and independently driven to emit light (self-illumination).
