What Are the Maintenance Methods of LED LCD Screen?

Today, LCD screens are very popular. Many people install instant LCD screens in their homes, but some still use old black and white TVs.

But modern LCD screens are nice, but you know how to take better care of them. Of course, maintenance methods will vary for each model.

Ⅰ. The LCD screen is strictly anti-static

The control and drive circuits in the module are CMOS circuits with low voltage and low power consumption, which are easily broken down by static electricity. Electrostatic breakdown is an irreversible damage that must be paid attention to. Therefore, extreme care should be taken in handling, assembly and use, and static electricity should be strictly prevented. For this purpose:

1. The soldering iron for welding must be well grounded without leakage;

2. If the LCD screen must be directly connected, the human body and the module should be well grounded, or the metal frame of the faucet or the console should be touched by hand to discharge;

3. Do not touch external leads, circuits and ICs on circuit boards at will.

Ⅱ. Handling the LCD protective film

A protective film is attached to the surface of the assembled module to prevent the display surface from being contaminated during the assembly process, so it should not be removed before the whole machine is assembled to avoid contamination or damage to the display surface.

Ⅲ. Install the LCD screen gasket

It is best to add a spacer of about 0.1mm between the module and the front panel, and the panel should be kept flat to avoid deformation after assembly.

Fourth, the LCD screen welding module leads and interface circuits should be carried out in accordance with the regulations

1. Do not let the solder drop on the circuit board of the LCD screen during soldering, otherwise the screen will display abnormally due to short circuit;

2. Soldering iron temperature: 280±10℃; welding time: less than 3-4 seconds; welding material: eutectic, low melting point; repeated welding shall not exceed 3 times;

3. If the connection between the LCD module and other peripheral circuits requires welding or replacement of the original connector, please confirm that the LCD module has passed the quality inspection in advance;

4. Do not cause physical damage to the LCD screen and PCB, otherwise it will not be repaired.

Ⅴ. Matters needing attention during the assembly operation of the LCD screen

1. The installation hole should be grounded to prevent electromagnetic interference and external noise;

2. The metal frame shall not be twisted or disassembled at will; the shape, assembly holes, circuits and components of the PCB shall not be arbitrarily modified or processed; the conductive adhesive strip shall not be arbitrarily modified.

Do not modify any internal supports of the LCD screen; do not touch, drop, bend, twist the module and backlight components, etc.

3. The LCD module is carefully designed and assembled, please do not process or trim it at will.

Ⅵ. Long-term storage method of LCD screen

Put it in a polyethylene bag (preferably with anti-static coating) and seal it; place it in a dark place to avoid strong light; never press anything on the surface; strictly avoid storage outside extreme temperature and humidity conditions (liquid crystal polarizers) Afraid of high temperature and humidity).

Ⅶ. The use and maintenance of LCD module

1. The external leads of the liquid crystal module must not be connected incorrectly, otherwise it may cause damage to the liquid crystal module components such as overcurrent and overvoltage;

2. When the module is used below the specified working temperature range, the display response is slow, and when the LCD module is used above the specified working temperature range, the entire display surface will be displayed in full display state again.

This phenomenon is not module damage, as long as it returns to the specified temperature range, everything will be back to normal again.

3. When the module is connected and disconnected, the signal level can only be input after the positive power supply (50.25V) is stably connected. If the signal level is input before or after the power supply stabilizes, it may damage circuits such as ICs in the module;

4. The contrast ratio and viewing angle of the dot matrix liquid crystal display module have a great relationship with the temperature and driving voltage. Therefore, if the VEE is adjusted too high, it will not only affect the display, but also shorten the service life of the module;

5. When there are water droplets on the screen, wipe them off quickly: long-term contact with water droplets will cause the screen to change color or appear spots;

6. Do not hit the IC on the PCB on the back of the module to prevent short circuit between adjacent pins;

7. Pressing the display part hard will cause abnormal display. At this time, cut off the power supply, wait for a while and then turn on the power again, that is, it will return to normal;

8. When there are stains on the screen, quickly wipe the LCD screen with absorbent cotton or other soft cloth.
