Apple expands supply chain capacity for miniLED panels for MacBook Pro

Recently, Display Supply Chain Consultants revealed in its quarterly report that Apple is developing a 15-inch MacBook Air, which may come out in 2023.Apple's MiniLED MacBook Pros and OLEDs both performed well in the fourth quarter of 2021, with more MacBook Pros with miniLED displays sold in the final quarter of 2021 than all high-end OLED notebook makers combined.

In addition, it is expected that the MacBook Air's technology on the screen will also be improved, and it may be equipped with a mini-LED backlight and a multi-touch display. This screen is already used on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro that Apple launched last year.

In addition to the 15-inch version of the MacBook Air, Apple is reportedly working on an iPad that is "slightly larger" than the current 10.2-inch model, and will feature an OLED screen that displays vivid colors. OLED screen can greatly reduce battery consumption while ensuring smooth scrolling. 

Compared with LCD screen, it can bring powerful material advantages such as high contrast, low power consumption, high response, anti-glare, etc., and the experience is also more extreme.From the fourth quarter of 2021 to the fourth quarter of 2022, Apple is expected to lead the category with the MacBook Pro, which will expand its supply chain capacity for miniLED panels.
